The Gazeka

Built for country nobody else could handle — camp work, field chores, and the everyday cutting jobs that separate a real tool from a pretty one. 🗡️

The Gazeka is a mid-size working blade with a comfortable, secure grip, sized to be the one knife you reach for whether you're processing game, working around camp, or knocking out everyday cutting tasks at home. Simple, tough, and built to keep going.

  • Blade length: 3"

  • Finish: Cerakote — available in Black, Flat Dark Earth, Gator Green, or Sand
  • Sheath: Black Kydex with UltiClip

Care and Maintenance

  • Initial preparation: Comes with a protective coat of food-safe mineral oil — wipe with a clean, dry cloth before first use.
  • Cleaning: After use, clean with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly to prevent surface oxidation. Avoid prolonged soaking.
  • Rust prevention: 80CrV2 is a high-carbon steel and benefits from regular oiling. Apply a thin film of gun oil, mineral oil, or food-safe blade oil before storage or after exposure to moisture.
  • Sharpening: Maintain the edge with a medium-to-fine stone or guided system. 80CrV2 takes a keen edge — use 400–1000 grit for repairs and 3000–8000 grit for finishing. Stropping restores a polished edge between sharpenings.
  • Handle care: G10 and Micarta both require minimal upkeep — clean with mild soap and water, avoid harsh solvents, and dry thoroughly. A light coat of food-safe mineral oil keeps Micarta looking rich; G10 needs no oiling at all. Chose a Custom handle? Just ask and we'll walk you through care for it.
  • Sheath care: Kydex — wash with mild soap and water and dry. A light coat of mineral oil keeps the Kydex looking new and helps prevent rust on the UltiClip.
  • Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated area. For long-term storage, apply a protective oil coating to the blade and avoid sealed plastic containers that trap moisture.

All of our knives are named for cryptids. In the early 1900s, colonial patrol officer Monckton reported a strange, long-snouted creature roaming the highlands of Papua New Guinea — something between a tapir and a giant sloth, unlike anything on the known map. Cryptozoologists still debate whether it was a surviving pocket of an extinct marsupial family. Whatever it was, it was built for country nobody else could handle. Same idea here.
