Banshee
The Banshee
A warning that gets louder the closer it gets β built for the moments where you need a blade you can trust without thinking twice. π‘οΈ
The Banshee is a full-size working knife built around a stainless steel that shrugs off moisture and neglect, making it a strong choice for anyone who wants serious carbon-steel-grade performance without babying the blade after every use. Camp chores, field work, everyday cutting tasks β the Banshee is built to be picked up and used, not admired from a display case.

Care and Maintenance
- Initial preparation: Comes with a protective coat of food-safe mineral oil β wipe with a clean, dry cloth before first use.
- Cleaning: After use, clean with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly and avoid prolonged soaking.
- Rust prevention: AEB-L is a stainless steel and highly corrosion-resistant, but a light wipe of oil after use and before storage keeps it performing at its best long-term.
- Sharpening: Maintain the edge with a medium-to-fine stone or guided system. AEB-L takes a fine, durable edge β use 400β1000 grit for repairs and 3000β8000 grit for finishing. Stropping restores a polished edge between sharpenings.
- Handle care: G10 and Micarta both require minimal upkeep β clean with mild soap and water, avoid harsh solvents, and dry thoroughly. A light coat of food-safe mineral oil keeps Micarta looking rich; G10 needs no oiling at all. Chose a Custom handle? Just ask and we'll walk you through care for it.
- Sheath care: Kydex β wash with mild soap and water and dry. A light coat of mineral oil keeps the Kydex looking new and helps prevent rust on the UltiClip.
- Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated area, away from sealed plastic environments that can trap moisture.
All of our knives are named for cryptids. In Irish folklore, the banshee β bean sΓdhe, "woman of the fairy mound" β is a spirit whose wail in the night means someone in the house won't see morning. Families used to listen for her on bad nights the way you'd check a weather radar now. This blade carries her name because it's built to be there on the nights that matter.
