The Yeti

Pure utility with teeth. ❄️🗡️

The Yeti is the knife you reach for when the job matters more than the spotlight. No gimmicks. No unnecessary curves. Just a brutally capable straight back blade designed to tackle work with the stubborn determination of the creature it's named after.

Built from your choice of rugged 1095 high carbon steel or ultra-tough 80CrV2 steel, the Yeti is made for hard daily use and unforgiving conditions. Whether you prefer the classic edge-holding simplicity of 1095 or the shock-resistant toughness of 80CrV2, both options deliver dependable cutting performance that thrives in the real world, not just display shelves.

The straight back blade profile makes the Yeti one of the most utilitarian knives in the lineup. Strong, controllable, and endlessly versatile, it excels at slicing, carving, utility work, food prep, camp chores, shop tasks, and everything in between. The reinforced tip provides added strength for demanding cuts, while the long cutting edge gives you efficient performance across a wide range of tasks.

Finished in a rugged Cerakote coating, the blade gains added corrosion resistance and a clean low-glare finish built to handle dirt, moisture, sweat, and daily abuse without losing its edge or attitude.

The Yeti was designed to be the knife that earns wear marks honestly. The blade that gets loaned out, tossed in a truck, carried into the woods, brought into the workshop, and somehow still ends up being the first knife grabbed the next morning.

Simple. Reliable. Wildly capable.
The Yeti doesn't need to prove itself. It already has. 🔥

Care and Maintenance

  • Initial preparation: Comes with a protective coat of food-safe mineral oil — wipe with a clean, dry cloth before first use.
  • Cleaning: After use, clean with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly to prevent surface oxidation. Avoid prolonged soaking.
  • Rust prevention: Both 1095 and 80CrV2 are high-carbon steels and benefit from regular oiling. Apply a thin film of gun oil, mineral oil, or food-safe blade oil before storage or after exposure to moisture.
  • Sharpening: Maintain the edge with a medium-to-fine stone or guided system. Both steels take a keen edge — use 400–1000 grit for repairs and 3000–8000 grit for finishing. Stropping restores a polished edge between sharpenings.
  • Handle care: G10 and Micarta both require minimal upkeep — clean with mild soap and water, avoid harsh solvents, and dry thoroughly. A light coat of food-safe mineral oil keeps Micarta looking rich; G10 needs no oiling at all. Chose a Custom handle? Just ask and we'll walk you through care for it.
  • Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated area. For long-term storage, apply a protective oil coating to the blade and avoid sealed plastic containers that trap moisture.

All our knives are named for cryptids, The Yeti, or "Abominable Snowman," is a legendary ape-like cryptic said to inhabit the high-altitude Himalayan Mountains. Described by locals as a large, often brown or reddish-furred upright creature, it has long featured in pre-Buddhist folklore and Tibetan Buddhism, often depicted as a "glacier being" or "wild man".
