The Sasquatch

Something big, moving at the edge of the tree line, gone before you can be sure of what you saw. 🗡️

The Sasquatch is a compact, no-nonsense EDC blade sized for the tasks that show up without warning — opening boxes, cutting cord, trimming material, and the small jobs that fill up an actual day. Small enough to disappear into a pocket, sharp enough to handle whatever you hand it.

Specifications

  • Blade steel: 80CrV2 high-carbon steel
  • Overall length: 6"
  • Blade length: 2-3/8"
  • Handle material: Natural Micarta
  • Finish: Black Cerakote
  • Sheath: Kydex with UltiClip

Care and Maintenance

  • Initial preparation: Comes with a protective coat of food-safe mineral oil — wipe with a clean, dry cloth before first use.
  • Cleaning: After use, clean with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly to prevent surface oxidation. Avoid prolonged soaking.
  • Rust prevention: 80CrV2 is a high-carbon steel and benefits from regular oiling. Apply a thin film of gun oil, mineral oil, or food-safe blade oil before storage or after exposure to moisture.
  • Sharpening: Maintain the edge with a medium-to-fine stone or guided system. 80CrV2 takes a keen edge — use 400–1000 grit for repairs and 3000–8000 grit for finishing. Stropping restores a polished edge between sharpenings.
  • Handle care: Micarta requires minimal upkeep — clean with mild soap and water, avoid harsh solvents, and dry thoroughly. A light coat of food-safe mineral oil keeps it looking rich; minor surface wear can be smoothed out with fine sandpaper if desired.
  • Sheath care: Kydex — wash with mild soap and water and dry. A light coat of mineral oil keeps the Kydex looking new and helps prevent rust on the UltiClip.
  • Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated area. For long-term storage, apply a protective oil coating to the blade and avoid sealed plastic containers that trap moisture.

All of our knives are named for cryptids. Sasquatch is the Pacific Northwest's name for the towering, ape-like figure reported in its forests for centuries before "Bigfoot" ever hit a newspaper headline — a Coast Salish word for something locals already knew was out there. This is the sighting: something big, moving at the edge of the tree line, gone before you can be sure of what you saw.
