Meet the ManBearPig (MBP).
A glorious backwoods identity crisis forged in steel. 🪓🔪🪵
Part spear. Part kitchen knife. Part axe.
All attitude.
The ManBearPig was born somewhere between a mountain man fever dream and a campfire argument that got wildly out of hand. One minute you're feather-sticking tinder, the next you're breaking down campfire chili ingredients like a frontier chef possessed by the spirit of a lumberjack.
Need to split kindling?
The ManBearPig grins.
Need to slice steak, onions, or suspicious gas-station summer sausage?
The ManBearPig hungers.
Need to lash it to a pole and instantly feel like you should have your own survival documentary?
The ManBearPig demands adventure.
Built for bushcrafters, campers, overlanders, swamp wanderers, and the sort of people who think "that trail looks interesting" moments before disappearing into the woods for 14 hours.
This isn't a delicate little belt knife that panics at hardwood.
This is campfire cavalry.
A steel-headed cryptid with an appetite for chaos, cordage, and questionable decision-making.
The ManBearPig:
Because sometimes carrying one tool is smarter than carrying three. 🔥

Care and Maintenance
- Initial preparation: Comes with a protective coat of food-safe mineral oil — wipe with a clean, dry cloth before first use.
- Cleaning: After use, clean with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly to prevent surface oxidation. Avoid prolonged soaking.
- Rust prevention: High-carbon steel benefits from regular oiling. Apply a thin film of gun oil, mineral oil, or food-safe blade oil before storage or after exposure to moisture.
- Sharpening: This is a big blade doing big jobs — maintain the edge with a medium-to-fine stone or guided system, and don't be afraid to touch it up often if you're using it for splitting and chopping.
- Handle care: Grip-Tec scales clean up with mild soap and water — no oiling needed, and the textured grip holds up to sweat, dirt, and hard use without maintenance.
- Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated area. For long-term storage, apply a protective oil coating to the blade and avoid sealed plastic containers that trap moisture.
All of our knives are named after cryptids, The MBP was named after the ManBearPig is a half-man, half-bear, half-pig cryptid from the TV show South Park, originally introduced as a parody of dramatic "monster hunting" documentaries. The creature was famously championed by Al Gore, who repeatedly warned everyone that ManBearPig was "super cereal." When ManBearPig was introduced no one could agree on his combination of whether he was half man, half pig, half bear or any order of those items. Just like the makers at Jackalope couldn't agree on what the MBP was for after head designer Steve Hotz showed us a sample.
